BLACK FUNERAL - New release coming soon!

Black Funeral returns with their new CD, “Az-i-Dahak”, being the first full length recorded since 1996. “Az-i-Dahak” is a strong resurrection of the 1990’s American cult black metal band, known for extreme attitudes and destructive music. The founder of Black Funeral, Michael Ford, known as Akhtya Nachttoter, occupied his time in the upcoming dark elektro industrial band Psychonaut 75 and the medieval ritualistic group Hexentanz. Although Black Funeral has been somewhat dormant for several years, Ford considered that he would return to black metal if he could contribute something powerful to it. “As we had along with our colleges, Acheron, Von, Demoncy, Absu and others led the American Black Metal scene in the early 1990’s, I had the challenge of not simply revising and rehashing black metal, but to bring some different twist to it, without losing the brutality and cold deathlike feeling. Considering that it has indeed been 10 years since Black Funeral began, I wanted a strong awakening of the band.” The new

CD “Az-i-Dahak” is a concept of ancient Persian Satanic or Ahriman – worship, pre-Christian themes which actually influenced Christian theory. Az-i-Dahak is the name of a mythological Assyrian king who was said to have made a pact with Ahriman, who was kissed upon the shoulders by Satan and spawned two black serpents. These snakes ate the brains of humans, and Zohak or Azi Dahaka slowly became known as the “Fiendish Snake” or “Storm Fiend”. He was dethroned and imprisoned in a mountain in Iran, always seeking to awake as an “Antichrist”, who will bring industry, steel, iron and machinery to an apocalyptic chaos.

SACRADIS - NEW ALBUM!

"Darkness of Our Souls" is a pure grim Black Metal assault in the old tradition spirit. Aggressive, fast and massively brutal!

SPITE EXTREME WING - SIGNED!

After the well acclaimed debut album "Magnificat", which received tons of positive respones by the most relevant underground channels, we are proud to announce the signing of SPITE EXTREME WING. The new album "Non Dvcor, Dvco" will be out in June 2004, a brand new work of eerie and hypnotic Black Metal Art. This is the latest statement of the band about the very interesting recording sessions:

"NON DVCOR, DVCO has been entirely recorded inside "Forte Geremia", a building of the end of nineteenth century on the Ligurian mountains: a magic place: fog and silence kept us company for six days. We chose to record in that place for several reasons: first of all we wanted to use only natural reverberations of a stone structure, to obtain a natural, inflated and unexpected sound, (the strangest sonorities have been captured, from the walls arcane singings and arcane vibes went out). We escaped from the modern society to transcend in the recording stage, our soul has reached the highest level of excitement in that place; the recording lost each terrible and working aspect. We played and dreamed, the fog came in from the window, wrapping us in a humid and oneiric embrace. Our choice has been of course against the market. Today the running for a perfect recording has brought only to a high impersonality: a beautiful wrapping-made in series-empty inside. We renounced to the clearness of the sound of a normal studio recording, in order to obtain a most personal and authentic sound. The album finally is the coagulation of the sew spirit in the moment of highest incentive. To catch the right dose of natural reverberations, we used several microphones placed in different places of the room, we made interesting experiments, and thanks to the professionalism of the phonic Paolo Valenti, we reached an excellent result. I'm totally sure, that in the recording stage, people shall leave traces of his own feelings... NON DVCOR,DVCO will remain forever our blood-soaked and it will bond us forever in this pact. I confirm the importance of our experiment: before us, other groups tried to record in wild and stimulating places, but none had exploited and experimented for each instrument (voice as well) the use of natural reverberations only".
